TRANSMISSIONS
New vocational
transmission
Eaton Cummins Automated
Transmission Technologies is expand-
ing its Endurant transmission lineup
with the new Endurant HD V model,
designed specifically for vocational truck
applications.
The transmission supports gross
combination weight ratings of up to
70,000 lb. (32,000 kg) and is compatible
with 9-liter, 11-liter, and the upcoming
Cummins X10 engines. It also handles
engine torque up to 1,700 lb.-ft.
Key features include an extreme-du-
ty clutch for improved low-speed
maneuvering, a rock-free mode for
unsticking trucks in mud or sand, and
an off- highway mode that automati-

according to a news release.

AERODYNAMICS
Re-engineered aero
fairings from FlowBelow
FlowBelow Aero has launched its
re-engineered Tractor AeroKit with Flex
Fairing. This addition to FlowBelow’s
portfolio of fairings delivers increased
durability and improved operational
performance, according to the company.
The product is made with a rubber
alloy TPE (thermoplastic elastomer)
resin, similar to that used in vehicle
bumpers. All-aluminum support brack-
ets are lighter, corrosion-resistant and
repositioned to provide better clearance.
The rear mounting bracketry features a
360-degree spring-loaded shoulder joint,
allowing for multidirectional flexibility
that works with the fairing’s more pli-
able material.
According to the company, indepen-
dent testing confirms that the Tractor
AeroKit with Flex Fairing saves fleets
3.16 gallons (11.96 liters) of fuel every
1,000 miles (1,600 km).

TIRES
New tire management
features for Halo Connect i3
Aperia Technologies has introduced
new features to its Halo Connect i3
system, enhancing tire management for
medium- and heavy-duty truck fleets.
The system now includes a tire tread
diagnostics suite and the ability to
remotely adjust tire pressure set points
to improve safety, fleet uptime, and
efficiency. The tread diagnostics suite
provides proactive tire service recom-
mendations based on analyzed tread
depth data, according to a release. The
system can accept data from manual
measurements or drive-over readers,
to forecast tire wear and recommend
service when pull points are reached.
Aperia also offers a laser-based 3D tread
scanner, which detects issues like irreg-
ular or excessive tire wear, mismatched
tires, and alignment problems.
Fleet managers can now remotely
adjust tire pressure set points through
the Halo Connect i3 system. The tread
diagnostics suite is currently available to
select pilot customers and will be widely
available in December through the Halo
Tech App.

Netradyne boosts
drowsy driver detection
capabilities
Netradyne has launched
its third-generation Driver
Drowsiness with Driver
Monitoring System (DMS)
Sensor for real-time detec-
tion and intervention of drowsy driving.
Unlike systems that respond only to
severe drowsiness, Netradyne’s DMS
Sensor is designed to identify early
signs of fatigue, allowing fleets to take
proactive safety measures, the company
claims. Netradyne says the system can
detect early-stage drowsiness, even in
low-light conditions or if drivers are
wearing sunglasses. It uses algorithms
to measure indicators like microsleeps,
blink rate, and percentage of eye closure
over time to provide tailored, early-stage
alerts that warn drivers before severe
drowsiness sets in, Netradyne says.
